  • Step 1 Back Casing

    • Remove the back casing by slowly popping each tab out with a plastic opening tool.

  • Step 2

    • Carefully remove the tape one by one from the connecting wires with tweezers.

  • Step 3

    • Carefully remove the black clips from both sides of the casing with a plastic opening tool.

    • The clips should pop off separate from the oval attachments.

  • Step 4

    • Carefully remove the oval attachments from the casing.

    • Do not tug on the oval attachments because they are connected to fragile wires.

  • Step 5

    • Carefully pull the oval attachments away from the back casing.

  • Step 6 Camera

    • To remove the cameras you will first want to use tweezers to carefully unstick the cameras one by one from the tablet.

    • If you cannot get the tweezers to grip the cameras, using your fingers works as well.

  • Step 7

    • Next, undo the ZIF connector with a plastic spudger, or fingernail, that is connecting the cameras to the motherboard.

    • Do not yank the ZIF connector. It should come apart very easily with little force needed.

  • Step 8

    • Gently pull the copper connection away from the motherboard of the tablet to completely remove the camera.
